Anil Seth

Anil Seth is the English-language winner of the 2025 annualĀ Berggruen Prize Essay Competition.


A neuroscience professor and the director of the Centre for Consciousness Science at the University of Sussex, Seth is also the co-director of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research Program on Brain, Mind and Consciousness. He wrote, “BeingĀ  You: A New Science of Consciousness” (Dutton, 2021).
