JUNO Awards Broadcast
The crowning event of Juno Week is the Broadcast Awards, telecast live from the Air Canada Centre, home of NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs. Broadcast live across the country, naturally, like any awards show, there were the Red Carpet arrivals of all the stars and the droves of screaming fans excited to see the endless list of Canada’s top names in the music industry. As CTV’s eTalk hosts Ben Mulroney and Tanya Kim chatted with the likes of Drake, Shania Twain, Neil Young, Metric and Hedley, just to name a few.
Hosted by Drake, the show kicked off with a stellar opening performance by Down With Webster and the list of artists taking the stage that night was a long and celebrated one; Sarah McLachlan, Hedley, Tokyo Police Club, Johnny Reid, Broken Social Scene, Chromeo and the band who is experiencing a very successful year to date, with not only a handful of Juno statues but also a Grammy, Arcade Fire.
