JUNO Songwriters Circle

Our first night of Juno Week events kicked off with what has become a very popular event over the past few years. Hosted by Johnny Reid, and featuring the talents of such artists as Luke Doucet, Lynn Miles, Royal Wood, Dan Hill, Sylvia Tyson and Randy Bachman. The Juno Songwriter’s Circle is a special performance where these talented singer-songwriters share songs and stories on stage; each providing an intimate look into what inspires their music, sharing details on the birth of specific songs in their career.

This was truly a treat as the audience was treated to an inside look at some of the songs that made these artist’s careers. For me personally, it was a thrill to find out the stories behind Dan Hill’s mega hit, “Sometimes When We Touch” and the legendary Randy Bachman tell the story behind The Guess Who classic, “No Sugar Tonight”.
