Though storm clouds rolled in and dumped a good amount of rain on the second night of the Stampede earlier in the evening, that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. It seems the outdoor music Gods were ensuring fans would have a good night, with the evening sun coming out just in time for openers, Dear Rouge.
The Vancouver based, JUNO Award winning husband and wife duo kicked off their 30-minute set with “Modern Shakedown” from their brand-new album, PHASES. Their live show is always very entertaining with high energy, electro-pop/rock songs that gets crowds moving.
Then it was time for London born, Bishop Briggs. This young lady has become a fan favorite since the release of her debut full-length album, Church of Scars. She possesses a voice that makes you take notice when you hear it, and a live show that demands attention. Ms. Briggs’ performance on the Coke Stage was anything but awesome. She had the faithful in the palm of her hand last night. Oh, and did I mention that voice?
