Hot on the heels of the March 2017 release of Ride, her sixth studio album, Nelly Furtado has signaled “she’s back”, and with a vengeance!
The weather Gods has their own plan though. After days-long of a scorching heatwave, the clouds rolled in, and the mercury dropped on day four of the Calgary Stampede. Though the break in temperatures might have been a reprieve to the city, for concert goers at the open air, Coke Stage, it was a different story.
The skies opened, and released a violent thunder storm, complete with lighting and a lot of rain. Such conditions caused a forty-minute delay for Nelly’s set, but that deter the faithful. Amidst the thunder and lighting, you could hear the crowd chanting Nelly’s name. Proving once again that music fans are not only tough, but dedicated!
Once the coast was clear to start the show, a couple thousand people were anxiously waiting for the Victoria, BC native, and she didn’t disappoint.
I want to thank the stage security team who shared their tent with the media to keep our camera equipment dry!! We very much appreciated it ?
