Opening the Stampede’s second night on the Coke stage was Bleeker, a band from Orillia, Ontario. They are young and energetic with was enthusiastic pop rock sound that got the crowd warmed up for the main act.
The headliners, Theory of a Deadman from Delta, BC, came on at 9pm and played a blisteringly loud set to a packed audience with barely enough room to move. They treated the crowd to their special brand of heavy rock.
Putting a bit of a damper on the evening was a medical emergency somewhere before the drum solo, with EMS, medics, somewhere in the crowd. There was no getting through, which can be a negative for large crowds.
